2019 Chateau Tertre Roteboeuf - Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classe

WeinWisser – 20/20pts - GL, TW: *Purpur mit rubinroten Reflexen. Ein betörender Beginn mit frischen Alpenheidelbeeren, Schokopastillen und exotischen Hölzern. Im zweiten Ansatz frische Himbeerkonfitüre und Damassinenlikör. Am kräftigen Gaumen explodiert der Charmebolzen mit seidiger Textur, viel Eleganz und einer unglaublichen Fruchtkonzentration. Im katapultartigen Finale Darjeelingnoten, frisch eingekochte Pflaumen und Tahiti-Vanille. Bei François Mitjavile muss man immer auf alles vorbereitet sein, aber mit diesem Jahrgang hat er sich ein Denkmal gesetzt. Erinnert mich an den Jahrgang 2010 mit dem Zusatzplus an Eleganz. Für François war der einsetzende Regen im September (Total 69 mm) für diesen aromatischen Ausdruck verantwortlich, die Polyphenole wurden sprichwörtlich durchgeweicht und die Struktur anmutig und trotzdem dicht. Hier kann es nur die Höchstnote geben. Weltklasse!* – 04/2020

So soft yet almost unspittable in its appeal – with the rich floral nature plus a bit of dry spice – cumin? Vinous.com – 96 pts – AG: *The 2019 Tertre-Rôteboeuf is fabulous. In most vintages, Tertre-Rôteboeuf is exuberant, but in 2019 it is a bit more strict, a bit more linear in construction. That's not a bad thing at all, it just means the 2019 might need a few years in bottle to be at its very best. Black cherry, espresso, licorice, new leather and menthol gradually open in the glass. The medium-bodied palate delivers pliant tannins, sensual, slightly savory red fruit mixed with white pepper, sage and red peppercorns, and a touch of tobacco on the finish.
