You can taste the Cabernets coming through strongly, an elegant, stately expression of cassis with a silky texture and nice balance. The palate is intense and concentrated but with a real sense of lift. It's always a wine that takes its time to show its colours as it's a touch austere in its first five to eight years, but this is going to age beautifully.* - 10/2018

JancisRobinson.com – 16+/20pts – JR: *Historic property, like so many in this corner of Bordeaux. 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec. Vines on average 30 years old. Sulphite-free vinification. 22-day maceration and 18-month ageing. No mention of oak in the technical details but it tastes as though it saw some spicy oak. Dark, lightly evolved garnet. Mellow nose. Rather sweet with marked tannins. No hurry to drink this. Masses of impact. Worth buying by the case, in which case the price drops to £13.25 a bottle. Much more to it than the Ch Paret 2016. Blood orange, sweet red/purplish berry fruit, rose petal and mint are all finely knit in this gracious, subtle Pomerol. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fresh and very lithe in the mouth, and silky-smooth, although it does not boast the greatest depth. This is a very well made wine that should not require extended cellaring but will give years of pleasure. It may be entering a dumb phase, though.
