Broad strokes of yellow fruit and cream on the palate fade into radiant pinpoints of light and defined flavour – a stony, smoky, elegant tension. All Württemberg charm and juice initially, but there's more here than meets the eye (or the palate in this case). Deep, with lively acidity and unyielding focus, quietly compelling austerity. Discussions are a foot about giving this Grosses Gewächs status and I would get behind that.*
