Malt Whisky Yearbook 2018 * With the sale of their remaining assets in the wine business, Campari are now completely focused on the spirits side. The figures for 2016, showed an increase in net sales of +4.2% to £1726m while the net profit went the other direction, -5.2%, landing on £175m. The reason for the drop in profits were transaction costs due to the takeover of Grand Marnier but also restructuring projects and debt refinancing. The agreement to acquire Grand Marnier and its parent company, states that the complete take-over should be completed by 2021. The company announced in July 2017, that the Irish cream whiskey liqueur Carolans and Irish Mist liqueur and whiskey had been sold to Heaven Hill Brands. At $165m, this was the largest disposal of brands ever completed by Campari.
The biggest brands in the group are called Global Priorities and include Campari, Aperol, Skyy, Wild Turkey and Grand Marnier, while their only Scotch single malt, Glen Grant, is labelled...
